New Graduate Student Orientation

To ease incoming the graduate students’ transition to UD, we require that all new students participate in New Graduate Student Orientation (NGSO), a hybrid experience including both virtual and in-person components designed to introduce them to the UD Graduate community, help them learn everything you need to know to be successful, and welcome them to UD!

The NGSO Experience Includes:

  • A full-day orientation program held on-campus on August 24th! (In-Person)
  • An Involvement Fair introducing you the many University services and Graduate Student Organizations on campus (In-Person)
  • Departmental /program orientation (We ask that they department for format)
  • A self-paced online orientation course through Canvas, UD’s Learning Management System (Virtual)
  • Details about these experiences are found on their New Student Orientation Portal, and any questions, can be directed to the Graduate College at grad@udel.edu

Based on their role on campus, we may have also given information about the :

  • International Student Orientation (Virtual)
  • Teaching Assistant Orientation (In-Person)
