Undergraduate Summer Scholars
Research Faculty Mentorship Program

The Graduate College, with a grant from the Unidel Foundation has the opportunity to support undergraduate students from other institutions to participate in a 10 week Undergraduate Summer Scholars Research Program at the University of Delaware. The program will offer a $4000 stipend to the students as well as provide housing and pay for round trip transportation.

The program is intended to prepare, motivate, encourage and support students who want to learn more about the graduate school experience and possibly pursue an academic career in research. As a faculty mentor in the summer program you will work closely with a student to conduct research that the student will present at the UD undergraduate research symposium in August. The objective of the summer program is for the students to be immersed in a research project, work closely with faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers and learn first-hand about graduate programs at the University of Delaware and develop a valuable network of contacts who can support and assist them as they hopefully apply to graduate school at UD.
