The Department of Biological Sciences also offers the Professional Science Masters (PSM) in Biotechnology degree as well as a Graduate Certificate in Biotechnology. The PSM in Biotechnology combines coursework in the core life science disciplines, coursework in other scientific disciplines relevant to biotechnology, 15 credits of business coursework from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and a six-month long industrial internship to give students real world experience in biotechnology. Both the PSM and Certificate can be pursued part-time and are an ideal choice for those working in industry who want to expand their training while continuing to work.
