Dr. Doug Doren
Dr. Lou Rossi
Vice Provost for Graduate and Professional Education and Dean of the Graduate College

Welcome to our graduate community at the University of Delaware.

We are well known as a research powerhouse with over 70 research centers dedicated to a wide range of interdisciplinary areas where graduate students have opportunities to work side-by-side with our world-class faculty. We know that our graduate students come to UD to encounter challenging ideas, in and out of the classroom, and therefore the Graduate College supports over 60 student-led organizations. Some are focused on hobbies and activities, and others are focused on building culture and community. We are an educational community that is intellectually, culturally, and socially diverse, and enriched by the contributions and full participation of people from many different backgrounds. It is the goal of the Graduate College to provide a supportive and engaging graduate environment that helps our students to become the next generation of innovative leaders, outstanding professionals, and engaged citizens.

I hope you will enjoy exploring our website to learn more about our campus and the many resources available to you as a graduate student at UD. We encourage you to send follow-up questions to

With best regards,

Dr. Lou Rossi
Dean of the Graduate College
Vice Provost for Graduate and Professional Education
