The University of Delaware Master of Business Administration (UD MBA) program is accredited by the AACSB International–The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Students may pursue either a full-time or part-time course of study in the UD MBA program. In some cases, UD MBA students with an undergraduate degree in business administration may waive some of the core classes and thereby complete the program with fewer than the 48 credits required of students with no prior academic background in business administration.
The Pathways Program allows admitted students to enroll in up to three MBA or other UD business graduate courses prior to being considered for matriculation as a regular MBA student. Students entering through this program are typically interested in getting started on the degree while preparing for the GMAT or GRE.
The MBA Conditional Admissions Program (MBA-CAP) is a joint program of the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and the University’s English Language Institute. MBA-CAP provides international students whose native language is not English with an opportunity to be accepted into the UD MBA program without the need to take the TOEFL exam. Instead, students enroll in the English Language Institute before beginning their MBA coursework. This provides an opportunity to improve their English while developing other important skills that are necessary for success in the UD MBA program.
Current UD undergraduate students in the BBE Biomedical Engineering, BCHE Chemical Engineering, BCE Civil Engineering, BCpE Computer Engineering, BEE Electrical Engineering, BENV Environmental Engineering, BS in Hotel Restaurant Management, BME Mechanical Engineering, or BA in Music programs can be considered for admission to the 4+1 MBA program.
