NIH’s NCI F99/K00 Predoc to Postdoc Transition Award provides up to 2 years of support to 3rd/4th year graduate students to finish their dissertation research and then up to 4 years of 50K postdoc salary with full benefits at the domestic lab of their choosing. Foreign students ARE eligible to apply; students do not have to be involved in cancer research for the F99 phase, but must desire a cancer-focused research career and work on a cancer project for the K00 phase. There is only one PhD nominee allowed per institution. See RFA-CA-17-014 and the NIH NCI website for more information, or contact the program director, Michele McGuirl, directly.
Potential nominees, mentors, and grants administrators are invited to a webinar this Friday January 20th, from 1 – 3 pm Eastern. For those who cannot attend the webinar, Dr. McGuirl will post the slides with transcript under RESOURCES on the NCI F99 website by Tuesday morning, January 24th.
